Time and again, Whoa Dakota frontwoman and songwriter Jessica Ott has turned to danceable R&B-influenced pop as a medium for nuanced discussion of complex emotional territory. Sometimes, though, another sonic setting is more appropriate for the lyrics that come out.
Enter Rodeo Glow, Ott’s gentle folk-centric project with partner Collin Gundry. Today, we’re very pleased to premiere “I Don’t Like Watching the News,” a melancholy tune with a note of hope at the core.
