when that happened, it started to get walked back. first off, the redacted redacted redacted, now former fbi official, who wasn t named in those reports? he came forward and he said that he was the one who suggested any kind of deal. i m the one who threw that out there, he told the new york times. and second, it was no big deal, this former fbi agent disputed he had ever characterized his conversations with the state owe department official as a quid pro quo. that s a reach, i said hey, what s this about, listen, there was no collusion, there was absolutely no collusion. no story, nothing to see here, no cow lose, that s a reach. damage was done. three straight days of quid pro quo, flashing red light of criminality, coverup. damage was done, well done. apparently now we know it was well paid. because now we have a new revelation about this story. last week the former national security adviser to the president filed some new federal paperwork, mike flynn registered retroactively a
defense secretary james mattis getting the final version just hours before the president announced it. and homeland security secretary john kelly learning about the order as the president siegned it. joining us now is sam stein, at the huffington post and politics reporter at the daily beast. sam, let me ask you that, information like that that would sort of come out about how this thing was put together, who was, who wasn t included. it felt like a lot of people found out about it just seeing by sort the process of implementation what happened. what does this tell us about the management and leadership style of this white house? impulsive. some would argue incompetent, but probably more ideological, and inexperienced. people who haven t really been in the top echelons of government before and trying to figure out how best to institute across agency policy like this in an insular world. and i think what sean said there is just sort of them trying to
becoming secretary of state? you know, it would be surprising to me to be perfectly honest. it would be surprising if he picked someone who was critical often of donald trump during the campaign trail. that is also up to the president-elect. i argued with a lot of my fellow trump partisans up in armeds that romney, for instance, is being considered for that post. i argued with them we have to have confidence in our man, in our leader. if president-elect trump decides that he needs someone who wasn t necessarily a loyalist, who wasn t in the tent during the campaign, but decides he needs them and that america needs them in a leadership position, i m fine with that. i think that one reason why we can rest easy, those of us who supported mr. trump in the campaign, is that he has already assembled a core team who were intensely loyal to him during the campaign and i think will have his ear most closely when it comes to matters of foreign policy. let s listen to what newt gingrich is sa

see a gender gap that explains this. among white women, with a college degree, you see hillary clinton winning tonight. by eight points. four years ago, this same group of voters went for romney, by six. so you see a swing there. other side of it, white men, no college degree, blue collar white men, look at this, a 47-point margin here for donald trump. four years ago, this same group for the republicans, 31 points. so from 31 four years ago to 47 tonight. that is a story with those two groups, two other groups we re looking at quickly here, black voters, again, four years ago, what did you see? barack obama, first black president, running for re-election, he won this group 93-6. he won it 95-4 in 2008. tonight, 97-8. that s more in line with the last democratics president who wasn t barack obama. in 2004, jk won black voters 88-11. slight, slight slippage there
