Gov. Whitmer Lowers Flags for U.S. Capitol Police Officer
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
LANSING, Mich. - Governor Gretchen Whitmer, in accordance with a proclamation issued by President Biden, has ordered U.S. and Michigan flags within the State Capitol Complex and upon all public buildings and grounds across the state of Michigan to be lowered to half-staff immediately on Friday, April 2 through Tuesday, April 6 to honor and remember the victims of the attack at the U.S. Capitol today, including U.S. Capitol Police Officer William Billy Evans who passed away in the line of duty.
