The Mosquito Fire has been raging in Northern California for more than a week now. The Mosquito Fire engulfed a total land area of approximately 64,000 acres as of Thursday, September 15, becoming California's largest wildfire in 2022 so far.
UPDATE 1 p.m. Friday: The Mosquito Fire has grown to 29,585 acres with no containment. There are 1,700 personnel assigned to the fire with 44 Engines: 267 Dozers: 14 Responding resources including multiple helicopters and fixed-wing tanker support including VLAT (very large air tankers) as ordered.
