The Crestwood Board of Aldermen heard two ordinances regarding construction of the new Whitecliff Park Bridge and its surrounding area at its meeting Dec. 14. According to a memo by City Administrator Kris Simpson, the project is broken down into three phases replacement of the bridge (phase 1), the addition of a shared use.

Letter to the Editor: Bridge should stay closed to traffic THE recent decision to open Whitecliff Bridge up to car traffic again seems strange, to say the least, for a party that used to market itself as championing homeowners and protecting law and order. Booting the cyclists and pedestrians out of this neighbourhood and welcoming the burglars back in again with open arms will not be popular. And this is right on the doorstep of our local MP, and in the ward of the party chairman. Money wiped off the value of properties who have benefited from uplift that always follows cycling and pedestrian. improvements will be sorely missed, especially as the family home is most people’s most important asset.
