Libraries and staff rooms are among the shared spaces being transformed into classrooms to make room for the growing number of students in Regina and Saskatoon, according to the cities’ main school divisions.
SASKATOON The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) has declared a COVID-19 outbreak at Chief Whitecap School in the city s Stonebridge neighbourhood. In a media release, Saskatoon Public Schools (SPS) said it was notified about the outbreak Monday. The division said it has informed students, staff and the school community of the outbreak. Classes at the school will continue as scheduled on Feb. 22, when students return from February break, the division said. The school has had a total of four positive coronavirus cases since the start of the academic year, according to SPS. The division has had 231 positive cases of COVID-19 across its 51 schools and its board office since the start of the school year, SPS said.
