this is texas middle school students that turned programming into an app to help a visually impaired classmate. it s called hello avi. it s not only won the app challenge, but the all girl group, yes, all girl group, won a trip to the white house science fair. it satisfies me that, you know, i m not just doing stuff for myself, but i can do stuff for other people. what you can do with regular kids, you give them time, you make them believe they can and they can. if they can do this, if they can problem solve in this manner for this school project, they have the road ahead of them paved in gold. the app is going to be available this month in google play at no charge. congratulations to them. all girl team. and middle schoolers. impressive. they are so far ahead of me.
