Billionaire retailer Solomon Lew has rejected department store Myer’s offer for a seat on the board alongside its current directors and has called for Myer’s three remaining non-executive directors to resign, in a further escalation of tensions between the two businesses.
In a statement issued on Thursday afternoon by Mr Lew’s investment company Premier Investments, the company said it had “nothing to gain” by spending time working with the current Myer board.
