HANCOCK — Residents of the White Birches Motel are unsure of their future living situation after the assistance program they had been relying on stopped paying their bills.
Sharon Catus, development director for Downeast Community Partners, said the agency will review each application approved prior to Sept. 29 to determine their eligibility for November, but money has to be available for the assistance.
