PRUDHOE Youth Club Seniors secured their position as group winners in the Combination Cup after a last minute equaliser saw them draw with Red Row Welfare on Saturday. Heading into the game off the back of another midweek victory – a fine 0-3 win against Wallsend Boys Club where Rob Hayes, Brad Rogers and Arron Fletcher all scored – a late Craig Fairley goal means they now can’t be caught by anyone else in their group. The result means Prudhoe are the first team to qualify for the semi-finals of the Combination Cup, although several of our other teams still remain in contention to book spots too.
