Mel White and Mark Griffths opened both their Halesowen pubs yesterday. PUB landlords across Halesowen welcomed back customers yesterday and pulled their first pints in months. Mark Griffiths and Mel White were delighted to open their new venture The Huntingtree pub on Alexandra Road, after being forced to close it just days after it opened last November. The pub, which is owned by Star pubs, sits 140 people outdoors in its large beer garden. The couple, who also run Picks pub in Halesowen High Street, opened the outdoor spaces at both their pubs yesterday. The Huntingtree pub Mum-of-one Mel said: When we first opened the Huntingtree it was a Friday and we had to close it the following Wednesday.
