Rugby league big guns Chelsea Baker and Ali Brigginshaw will battle it out in a Browne Park blockbuster on Saturday.
A forced reshuffle will result in skipper Baker returning to her traditional role of fullback for the CQ Capras in the much-anticipated clash at 6pm.
The Capras will be looking for their second win in the BHP Premiership when they tackle the star-studded Valleys Diehards, led by Queensland Origin and Brisbane Broncos captain Ali Brigginshaw. Mariah Storch will hit the field with the CQ Capras on Saturday, just 10 weeks after having her first child.
The hard-working second rower will come off the bench in the teamâs Round 2 clash against the North Queensland Gold Stars at 4.55pm.
The womenâs game features on a jam-packed program at Rockhamptonâs Browne Park.
Five Capras teams will be in action, starting with the under-19 women who are up against the Wide Bay Bulls at 10.55am.
The Intrust Super Cup XXXX Rivalry Round will pit the Capras against the Mackay Cutters in the last game of the day at 7pm.
Tragically, he died on March 3 this year, just three days short of his 14th birthday.
Rockhampton BMX Club president Scott Bone said riders attending on Friday night would be given a pink ribbon to wear.
“Pink was Ethan’s favourite colour and the riders will be able to attach the ribbons to their helmets or their handlebars,” he said.
“I’m sure they will be happy to wear them all weekend, especially the riders coming from Moranbah.
“This is a wonderful way to remember Ethan and to do our bit to help others fighting blood cancers.” Anaya Whitehead will be among a strong Rockhampton contingent on track at this weekend’s 2021 Rocky Rumble.

Annual production Broadway and Beyond is set to dazzle and entertain on the Pilbeam Theatre stage next month.
Featuring many of the Central Queensland region’s finest singers, dancers and musicians, Broadway and Beyond is a celebration of musical theatre, cabaret, rock, pop and jazz; culminating in a two-hour, high energy live show of dazzling song and dance. Maddi McDonald will perform in Broadway and Beyond next month.
Since its inception in 2018, the show has quickly become one of the most anticipated and fast growing productions in Central Queensland.
This year’s production features a new show, hot off the heels of last year’s sold out production.
