This time around, the Facebook-owned messaging app has tried to keep it subtle and is ready to offer enough time to its users to read the new policy changes and then accept. Part of the new campaign will be a small banner that will appear on top of the chat list and offer an option Tap to review.

A majority of respondents in a survey said they will not use Whatsapp payment features and may discontinue business chat if the app shares information with Facebook and third parties, according to a survey. The survey – conducted around Whatsapp new proposed policy across the country covering over 17,000 respondents – found that five percent users have deleted the app, while 22 percent claimed to have reduced using the mobile messaging platform.

WhatsApp s privacy policy was recently updated by the parent company Facebook. Those who don t want to accept these policies might have to stop using WhatsApp from February 2021.
