The Beat 92.5 There will be a mystery musician today at the Palais de Congres vaccination site By Olivia Bourgeois David Madison / Stone / Getty Images The CIUSS du Centre-Sud-de-L’Ile-de-Montreal shared in a press release that they will start to allow walk-ins starting today at the Palais de Congres. They added that those getting their vaccines today can expect a mystery musician between 9 and 10am to greet people of all ages. However, further details on who the musician will be has yet to be announced. This initiative is put in place to hopefully lure younger people to get vaccinated now that the age limit has lowered to 25+ as of yesterday, and will change to 18+ as of tomorrow.

The park will be built on “terrain no 066,” which occupies the space between de Maisonneuve and President-Kennedy, between Bleury and Jeanne-Mance. Montreal Mayor Valérie Plante made the announcement on Wednesday and congratulated the landscape architecture and urban design firm WAA Montreal who designed the project. The press release describes the new space as a public park with nearly 50% more greenery.”
