perspective on the perspective and aftermath. chad pergram is exploring reaction from capitol hill and laura ingraham has more we continue with laura ingal has more. we continue with trace gallagher. reporter: the shooter is identified as 18-year-old salvador ramos. police say he was a student in the high school in uvalde. some of his classmates say they ve not seen him in school for two years. he reportedly shot his grandmother who is said to be in critical condition. ramos then fled in a vehicle and apparently was involved in some small minor car crash or incident near robb elementary school. police say he left vehicle, went into the left his hisvehicle and went into the school and started firing, killing 19 students and two adults. the victims were likely seven, eight, nine, maybe 10 years old, they were third, fourth and fifth graders at the school. the border patrol tells fox news correspondent bill melugin, an elite tactical border patrol agent entered the school
small tight knit community about 18,000 people. it describes itself as the cross roads to hill country. now, now the people here nearly 80% latino, many stretching back for generations reeling from the horrors of one of the worst school shootings in u.s. history. at least 19 children and two teachers were murdered. in the wake of horror like this, we often hear the word unimaginable but here it s almost as this is becoming easier and easier to imagine tragedies like this although i ve got to tell you, that there is nothing easy. nothing easy about what uvalde and the people here are going through right now. so far, what we know from the investigation, the suspect first shot his grand mother before driving right here towards the school where we are here. apparently crashed very close to the school and then claim into robb elementary proper. a lieutenant says the suspect barricaded himself in a classroom, used an ar style rifle in addition to wearing some kind of vest, tactical
indescribably sad. 14 little kids and one of their teachers are dead in texas, and countless more are traumatized after yet another mass shooting. this one at robb elementry, an elementary school. the school is nrlt uvalde county texas, 58 miles west of san antonio. texas governor abbott identified the shooter as an 18-year-old uvalde res den. he shot and killed horrifically and incomprehensively 14 students and a teacher. in addition to that, it has been reported that the subject shut his grandmother right before he went into the school, and there is i have no further information about the connection between those two shootings, and the subject is reported to be a student to have been a student at uvalde high school. he added that the shooter abandoned his vehicle and entered robb elementary with a handgun and possibly a second firearm. abbott added that the shooter was likely killed by responding officers but the events are still being investigated. it is unclear wh
