Evan Peters was not playing X-Men Quicksilver after all. He was playing a regular Westview citizen named Ralph Bohner who was being controlled by Agatha and she used magical necklace to give him superspeed.
Contrary to the multiple rumors, there was no Doctor Strange cameo in the finale, or any cameo from other MCU characters at all.
