questions the motivation to choose firm that sounds very unsuited to what the clintons needed done. to secure some very sensitive records. and late today, a federal court in washington, d.c. ordered the state department to work directly with the fbi to recover any e-mails that they successfully find as the result of their investigation. all right. thank you. joining us now with more, cyber security analysts senior fellow at the central for digital government. brian finch is with us. morgan, i want to go back to your credentials. you work for the department justice, the department of homeland security. other credentials? did i a lot for the private sector. the state department, did a lot of work, moved with a lot of these folks in the same areas. would you say that the government system protecting e-mail from hackers is probably the safest that is out there? no. the government system isn t the
stuart: morgan, should the unions, at least have a voice in relocation decisions? no, i don t think they should have a voice in relocation decisions if it s not going to directly impact the jobs they already have on the ground like we see with boeing, for example. i m going to second the boss. i think this is terrible for jobs. a lot of proponents of unions will tell you that unions keep jobs in place during economic down turns. but they re the reason more jobs don t get added when we come out of economic down turns, which is what we re seeing right now with a high unemployment rate. stuart: quentin, what do you say? i think mike is right. we need more federal money to be spent on better rail systems in this country that s not what i said. oh, yes. you said amtrak isn t good enough. that s not what i said! amtrak isn t good enough. that s not what i said! stuart: quentin, should the unions have a voice, a strong voice or a weak voice, but a voice, in deciding on r
unions in competitive industries which means i take the uaw, carve it up into three pieces. the gm uaw has to be reasonable because it s competing with a ford uaw. stuart: morgan is steaming to get into this. let the lady speak. yeah, you know, going back to this overseas debate, there is nothing keeping those companies from going overseas and having more union power is only going to meet added administrative costs for those companies which means less jobs and it s going to mean prolonged negotiations, which means delays in when those jobs hit the ground. stuart: neil? some of the cost that you have when unions are present in the company are not necessarily costs that you have or you don t have. if you don t have health care, for example, some of these people will go on medicare and medicaid. so you re pushing these mandates over to the government, which is going to pay it, meaning you and me and taxpayers. so having unions supporting jobs that actually have benefits is not nec
if people don t have insurance, they ll know when disaster hits, you re not going to be covered. that s a good incentive. let people and markets decide. stuart: morgan? i think it should be mandatory. actually, if you buy that home with a mortgage, it is mandatory for you to carry that mortgage, you have to have flood insurance and for the people that aren t insured, the people that paid off the mortgage. they would argue that that flood insurance is expensive, but they re not paying off a mortgage and they did that end paid for flood insurance. this is a cheaper way to go. stuart: neil? you should have certainly no bailouts here because if you do, what you re doing is creating a financial hazard and adding it to the natural hazard, the financial hazard being people will build in flood plains without insurance because they know that uncle sam will bail them out. i say if you don t have insurance, get a tent. in terms of what morgan said, steve underscored the fact that free mar
it. in fact, you made it a little harder on my union people to work for the government and you know what? you re not going to get any of that money. that s what this is about. just like his supposedly other plans quentin, what do you say? this is all about obama the king. give me a break. forum teen years in my little blue state of ago ago, i have given california, i have given far more in federal taxes than i receive. meanwhile, parasite red states like alaska take more from the federal government. you know something? that is the deal. the feds i ve got a solution bleeding hearts in california, i ve got a solution. the solution is, let s end all the boondoggles. all right? if we don t have boondoggle money, then california would have to impoverish won t have to impoverish itself. that s my solution. morgan? i agree with that.
