Ute burns midnight oil on Whanganui beach

A ute has been found burning the midnight oil on a Whanganui beach. Emergency services were called to a car engulfed in flames on a Whanganui beach near Whanganui Airport at 11.35pm on Wednesday. Firefighters gained control of the blaze after 30 minutes of battling the flames. A police spokeswoman said the vehicle may have been stolen. Police are making enquiries. Stuff
