Children Are An Asset
By Staff | May 12, 2021
The single greatest assets of any community is it’s children. Without a doubt, they will not thrive without good schools, good recreation, and good people who put them first. The greatest thing one can do is support children and their activities. Kids grow strong in caring communities
Together we can prevent child neglect and get a hold on child abuse. All children need to feel loved and accepted. We all need help from time to time, some problems are too big to handle alone. Many times just having good caring community people who work hard to provide opportunities for youth can make a difference in the future lives of the children.

The County Commissioners met Feb. 23, 2021 at the Commission Office in New Martinsville.
Commission President Lisa Heasley called the meeting to order following the Pledge of Allegiance. All Commissioners were present to conduct business on a light agenda.
First order of business was the approval by unanimous vote to accept the minutes from the previous session held February 16.
The next item on the agenda was a telephone call from Clayton Fitzsimmons of Fitzsimmons Law Office inquiring if Wetzel County Commission had applied and received all the Care Act Funds they are entitled to.
