November saw a drop in crime rates

Article content Crime rates in Wetaskiwin are coming down. During the Oct. 26 Wetaskiwin Committee-of-the-Whole meeting, Wetaskiwin RCMP Insp. Keith Durance told Council that in comparing January to September 2019 to the same time period this year, the total Criminal Code offences had dropped by seven percent with persons crimes down three per cent, property crime down five per cent and other Criminal Code offences down 10 per cent.
