Cincinnati Dad Skate Squad raising money to give skateboarding gear to kids in need Share Updated: 9:45 AM EST Dec 15, 2020 Emily Sanderson Share Updated: 9:45 AM EST Dec 15, 2020 Emily Sanderson A group of local skateboarding dads, known as the Dad Skate Squad, is hoping to spread some holiday cheer this season for kids in the community.The group is transforming into the Santa Skate Squad with a mission of raising money to provide new skateboards, skate shoes, helmets, pads and gear to kids who may not be able to afford it. The idea was created in the fall by skate squad dad Jason Margerum.“Skateboarding can be such a positive way for kids to build confidence, make friends and have fun,” Margerum said. “I had been thinking about trying to find a way that we could give back.
