Westwood Children's Vanilla Benefitted The Food Pantry

Reply Devin and Jocelyn Knox (Cynthia Knox) Sixth-grader Devin and fourth-grader Joselyn Knox, of Phillips Brook Road in Westwood, spent their time during COVID being entrepreneurial and altruistic. The siblings founded Volcanic Vanilla Extract to .help people during this difficult time, make something we enjoy and try running a little business project. Finding a project was tougher than we expected. We want to keep everyone safe. A lemonade stand sure won t work. One thing we make every year for friends and family is vanilla extract. Over the past four years we ve gotten good at it. We realized that is what we can do. Instead of making 10 bottles this year, we made 50 bottles and hope to sell them to help families and seniors who may not be able to afford enough food this winter.
