Cache Creek stormwater tube project to continue

Construction company Westwood Curtis and the town of Jackson will continue construction next week on the Cache Creek Tube Stormwater Project. The project s aim is to bring all of the Cache Creek stormwater pipes, some of which currently run under privately owned property, completely under town right of way. The current phase of the project is expected to be finished by the end of May, weather permitting. Bruun Boulevard, which is Willow Street to the north of Broadway Avenue, will continue to remain closed between Broadway and Deloney Avenue throughout the duration of the project, according to a town of Jackson press release.

Town Council to consider awarding contract for part of Cache Creek Tube project

The Jackson Town Council could award a contract Tuesday for continued work on the Cache Creek Tube project, which takes the creek through town in a series of underground pipes. Because Monday is a federal holiday to commemorate Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the council’s usual Monday meeting was moved to 6 p.m. Tuesday. The project was advertised in the Jackson Hole News&Guide for two weeks beginning Nov. 18, and opened for bids Dec. 18, according to town staff reports. The section for which bids were accepted is section “2D,” one of eight phases in the project. Four phases have been completed, according to a Town of Jackson Public Works Department diagram.
