Geraghty-Moats wins inaugural FIS Women s Nordic Combined World Cup event Friday, 18 December 2020
Tara Geraghty-Moats of the United States was the winner of the inaugural International Ski Federation (FIS) Women s Nordic Combined World Cup event in Ramsau.
The historic contest had been scheduled to take place in Lillehammer in Norway at the start of December, but was postponed due to the continued uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.
Ramsau stepped in as host, with the season-opener of the FIS Women s Ski Jumping World Cup running alongside competition at the Austrian resort.
Geraghty-Moats triumphed despite finishing sixth in the ski jump with 116.0 points.
