KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) Police officials in Kalamazoo shut down an area of Westnedge Avenue last night after an exchange of gunfire between two vehicles that were in motion.
It happened at around 7:30 near the top of Westnedge Hill between Parkwood Ave. and Maple St.. Few details are available at this time, but police told WWMT at least one person was injured and had to be taken to a hospital for treatment. A witness had also reported seeing someone lying in the roadway, covered with blood.
There are no reports of any arrests at this time and detectives are still investigating. The roadway was reopened at around 9:30 p.m..
