The contract of Westminster College President Dr. Kathy Brittain Richardson has been extended through June 2027 by unanimous action of the College’s Board of Trustees.
The Chair of the Board of Trustees, Jeffrey A. McCandless, commented on the recent contract extension.
“Stability in the leadership is a key ingredient in the success of any organization, and Dr. Richardson has brought tremendous stability over the past six years, particularly during the recent COVID years,” said McCandless.
Westminster College is investing more than $1 million in campus improvements this summer through campus beautification projects, new athletic and student spaces, and various renovations and refreshes.
Westminster College’s old-fashioned Independence Day celebration returns this year with a free concert and fireworks display beginning at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 3, at Brittain Lake on the College’s campus.
More than 300 students earned diplomas during Westminster College’s 168th Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 14, in the College’s Will W. Orr Auditorium.
Westminster College will recognize the outstanding achievements and leadership of 1960 alumnus and trustee emeritus William W. Rankin by awarding him with an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree at the institution’s spring’s 168th commencement exercises on Saturday, May 14.
