UWANEE, Ga. - In an announcement made Thursday afternoon, 20 student-athletes were recognized as regional winners of the inaugural Division III Commissioner’s Association (DIIICA) Student-Athlete of the Year awards. Recent Westminster College graduate Ryan Beard (Murrysville, PA / Franklin Regional) was selected as the Region VII men's honoree.
Each of the winners will advance to the national ballot for consideration for 2021-22 DIIICA Men’s Sport Student-Athlete of the Year and Women’s Sport Student-Athlete of the Year.
Beard earned College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-America® honors on June 22 after completing a three-year accelerated undergraduate degree in accounting and posting a 4.0 cumulative grade-point average (GPA). NEW WILMINGTON, Pa. - Westminster College will induct seven new members into the Titan Sports Hall of Fame on Friday, September 9.
The Class of 2022 is as follows: Adam Carswell '13, Men’s Track & Field; Jim Dafler, Director of Athletics and Men’s Basketball Coach; Rebecca Giles Badgujar '08, Women’s Swimming & Diving; Caitlin Hosler Zavora '14, Women's Tennis; Ryan Pontius '98, Men’s Golf (posthumously); Elizabeth Schultz Fee '11, Softball; Jessie Szakacs, Class of '12, Volleyball.
The inductees will be recognized on the field during halftime of the Westminster-Bethany football game on Saturday, September 10 which is scheduled to kick off at 1 p.m. The formal induction ceremonies will take place at dinner on Friday, September 9. CLEVELAND, Ohio – Westminster College led all Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) schools in the final Division III LEARFIELD Directors' Cup standings, which were released by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) on Thursday.
Westminster totaled 233 points to tie for 78th place among the 376 eligible schools, the Titans' best finish since joining NCAA.
The LEARFIELD Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between NACDA and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in NCAA Championships. Eighteen sports are counted in the final Division III standings (four of which must be men's and women's soccer and men's and women's basketball). The next highest sports (14 max.) scored for each institution, regardless of gender, are used in the standings.

GENEVA, Ohio – Westminster women's outdoor track and field junior Emma Rudolph (Santa Clarita, CA / Golden Valley) was crowned the national champion in the pole vault at the 2022 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track and Field Championships at the SPIRE Institute on Thursday.
Rudolph cleared a personal-best height of 12'11½" (3.95 meters) on her first attempt. All of Rudolph's clears impressively occurred on the first try.
"I'm feeling really good," Rudolph said to D3 Glory Days after the podium presentation. "I'm just super excited. I have been working really hard for this. Me and my coach have been working really hard for this for a really long time. I've wanted this for so long, so to finally get it feels really good."
The All-America honor is Rudolph's second for Outdoor Nationals (also a two-time Indoor All-American).

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – The Westminster men's indoor track & field team claimed its first official Presidents' Athletic Conference (PAC) Championship on Thursday. The Titan women placed fifth. The PAC Indoor Track and Field Championships took place at Youngstown State University.
The Titan men placed first out of 10 teams with 124 points. The women finished fifth out of 10 schools with 74.5 points.
"We always frame a theme for our meets," said head coach Tim McNeil who was named the PAC Men's Indoor Track and Field Coach of the Year. "We talked about this meet being a Street Fight. A fight where you have to never give up or let your guard down. We knew we were going to take "punches" but we emphasized that we had to keep swinging until the end. The men landed more punches than the other.and we won. I am proud of our team. We have an amazing coaching staff where we work together to share athletes in other event groups
