Six individuals suspected to be major players in lottery scamming and credit card fraud in western Jamaica have been taken into custody following operations carried out by the Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA).
They were arrested in Hyde, Clarks Town, Trelawny; Westgate Hills, St. James; and Crowder Grange Hill in Westmoreland on Wednesday and Thursday last week.
MOCA said the operations resulted in the seizure of paraphernalia including magnetic card readers, point of sale machines, blank credit cards, laptop computers and cellular phones.
