EWSD — The Essex Westford School district board called for Gov. Phil Scott to enact H. 165, a bill that would make universal meals permanent in Vermont public schools.
Parents in Vermont's largest school district have endorsed its move to remove terms like "male" and "female" from its fifth grade sex education curriculum.
In the first school board meeting since a letter about the policy was distributed, all but two of more than a dozen parents who spoke praised the Essex/Westford School District for its choice.
