Outside the memorial hundreds of Law Enforcement officers stood in silence giving their final salute to their fallen comrades. [ taps ] nearly all of santa cruz paused today to honor the fallen officers, as well. Many who couldnt make it to san jose gathered to watch a live broadcast at Kaiser Permanente arena. In fact, that was the original site for the memorial before planners realized it was simply too small.
