The police in the Western Region have begun the search for gun men who allegedly shot and killed a man after robbing him of his money at Amanful in Takoradi.
Speaking in an interview with Joy News’ Ina-Thalia Quansah, The Western Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), DSP Olivia Ewurabena Adiku assured the public of the police’s readiness to make the suspects face the law when arrested.
“We are putting all measures in place to ensure that we get the culprits and also to provide security for them,” she said.
DSP Olivia also appealed to eye witnesses to provide the police with necessary information on the incident to enable the police get the culprits arrested for interrogation.

Francis Esson, a 19-year-old resident of Effiakuma in the Effia-Kwesimintsim Municipality of the Western Region is in the police cells for allegedly stabbing his elder brother, Emmanuel Ato Simpson, 21, to death.
The Ghana Police Service has commenced investigations into events leading to the death of the Half Assini District Commander of Police, Supt Cyprian Zeno Zenge, at the porch of his bungalow in the early hours of last Saturday.
Preliminary investigations by the Western Regional Crime Scene Team allege suicide, indicating that the officer used his side pistol to kill himself.
The police found the gun reportedly used by the late officer, as well as a purported suicide note he left behind.
They did not, however, disclose the content of the note.
Statement
In a statement, the Western Regional Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Olivia Ewurabena Adiku, said Supt Zenge was found dead, with gunshot wounds, at his residence about 7 a.m. last Saturday.
