Pride s Football Queensland Premier League men s and National Premier Leagues women s sides are also taking shape preparing for new seasons starting in March. Pride football operations manager Pye Augustine was upbeat about the season ahead as the Briggs Road Sporting Complex is set to reopen next week and the benefits of last year s Everton partnership gain momentum. Under Western Pride s international partnership with world-renowned Everton FC, coaches have access to regular mentoring and advice.

Knights bolster talent stocks after losing captain

Ogden plans to build a leadership group for the 2021 Football Queensland Premier League (FQPL) season kicking off on March 13. With a mix of loyal Ipswich players and some quality recruits to choose from, Ogden is excited about creating more opportunities. Jack has been really good for us and that but we ll fill that void, Ogden said. I had a good chat to Jack and he basically thought he was getting on in his football career and Rochedale probably has a realistically better chance of getting to the NPL (National Premier Leagues competition) than we do.

Signing news: Roar secure Bon Scott as Young replacement

Scott has inked an injury replacement contract as cover for the sidelined Jamie Young. The 23-year-old, who is a former member of Roar’s youth set up, has made a name for himself as one of the leading glovemen in the the Queensland NPL. He has played for the likes of Western Pride, Brisbane City and Brisbane Strikers in the NPL, while in 2019 he was voted the competition’s Goalkeeper of the Year. Scott will be in the squad for Roar’s clash with Newcastle Jets at McDonald Jones Stadium on Wednesday night. Meanwhile, Japanese import Masato Kudo is also in contention to make his A-League debut for the club in the Hunter.

Pride looks to attract World Cup side to Ipswich

Ultimately, we want to see a successful program, both the male and the females, Boyle said.
