The idea started two years ago when local groups started talking together about creating a resource to expand people’s knowledge of the area, and what it means to exist among nature.
The Western Montana Conservation Commission recently received $9 million in mostly federal funds to tackle water quality issues throughout the western part of the state.
Beder-Miller has become active in local community activities, such as Lincoln County WINGS, and is on the planning committee for the Yaak WINGS Annual Auction event. She also serves as a trustee on the Yaak Elementary School Board.
