Plans to be unveiled for new stadium in Regina

(Submitted/Regina Red Sox) The Dewdney Avenue rail yards could be home to a new baseball stadium in the future. Now, the Regina Red Sox of the Western Major Baseball League have teamed up with Living Sky Sports Entertainment (LSSE) on a memorandum of understanding to develop a stadium on the vacant land downtown. Red Sox president Gary Brotzel believes a new stadium would do a lot for the local economy. “We are pleased to make this announcement today and encouraged to have been able to present our plans and vision to City Council this past Wednesday,” Brotzel said in a release Wednesday.
