WIU Women s Center, MCC Hosts Reproductive Rights Week

In recent months, policies affecting women s reproductive rights in the United States have substantially changed at the federal and state levels. The Western Illinois University Women s Center, the Multicultural Center (MCC), and other allies have established Reproductive Rights Week, "Mind Your Own Uterus," to express solidarity and support to all individuals affected by the U.S. Supreme Court s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

As we shared on May 11 when the leak emerged about the Supreme Court discussion to overturn Roe v. Wade, we re-shared this message on June 24 following the heartbreaking and short-sighted decision by the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade. For more than 36 years, the Western Illinois University Women s Center has advocated for, and celebrated, women and the rights of women, and we will continue.
