Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced a new incentive Monday aimed at getting more New Yorkers vaccinated.
Cuomo says that every person who gets vaccinated with either a first dose, or single dose of Johnson & Johnson, anywhere in New York State between May 24 and 31 is eligible to receive a free two-day pass to any New York State Park valid through September 30, 2021.
Cuomo says there s a decline in the vaccination rate especially among the young and those who are doubtful.
The program applies to all 16 state parks across New York.
As of last week, vaccinations in the state of New York have declined by 41%. Now, they re trying to get people who were on the fence to get the vaccine with incentives. The latest is called A shot in the park.
While we have really been up and down with our progress over the past year, Governor Andrew Cuomo gave an update on the state s progress with coronavirus and at this point it looks as though we are doing very well.

On Monday, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced anyone who gets the first vaccine shot, or the single dose of Johnson & Johnson, from May 24 - 31 will get a free two-day pass to any state park.
