A deep depression over the Bay of Bengal is expected to intensify into a cyclonic storm and make landfall in Bangladesh on October 25th, according to IMD. The storm will bring heavy rain and strong winds to eastern and northeastern regions of India, as well as coastal areas of Odisha and West Bengal. Squally winds are already prevailing in the Bay of Bengal, with speeds expected to increase before gradually decreasing. Fishermen have been advised to avoid venturing into the affected areas until October 25th.
