The council held an extraordinary meeting on Monday to decide whether to launch a new promotional campaign. Councillors say they want to fill all 15 seats on the town council in the May local elections. The council said: “It’s really important to the town that we fill all 15 vacancies.” At Monday’s meeting, councillors decided to spend £346.50 on printing a leaflet to distribute to residents. The leaflet outlines the role councillors play in the local community and what s involved. The town’s existing councillors are eligible to stand for re-election if they wish. Representatives standing for Wiltshire Council will also be decided on the same date.
