Three injured in Westbrook deck collapse released from hospital
The fire chief says the incident could have been a lot worse if all of the two dozen or so people gathered at the home on Cumberland Street were standing on the deck when part of it gave way Friday night.

Three people who were taken to a hospital Friday night after a deck collapsed in Westbrook have been treated and released, according to the Westbrook Fire Department.
Westbrook Fire Chief Andrew Turcotte said in a telephone interview Sunday evening that eight people were evaluated at the scene for injuries and declined medical treatment, and three other people were taken to the hospital. None of the injuries was critical.
