The flames broke out at the Avalon Princeton Junction complex’s Building 8 on Taylor Court around 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday and took nearly three hours to get under control, authorities said. “As of the time of this updated message, the investigation continues into the origin of the fire. The preliminary findings are that the fire was not suspicious, however, the investigation will continue for days,” police said in a statement Thursday.

The fire broke out around 3:20 p.m. at the Avalon Princeton Junction complex’s Building 8 on Taylor Court, police said. News helicopter footage from 6abc showed flames shoot through the upper floors of the building in the complex. Firefighters managed to bring the inferno under control as of shortly after 5 p.m., West Windsor Mayor Hemant Marathe said. There were no immediate reports of anyone seriously hurt, though one firefighter suffered a minor injury, he said.
