Luxembourg has withdrawn the title of honorary consul from Russian conductor Valery Gergiev effective immediately and is reviewing the mandates of other officials, foreign minister Jean Asselborn has said.
Two former LSAP cabinet members had come under public pressure after initially rejecting calls to withdraw their mandates at East West United Bank and Sistema.
Damjanovic, aged 20 and originally from Serbia, is currently a student at the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory.
The concert will be held at the Luxembourg City Conservatory and feature works by Bach, Weber, Liszt, Shostakovich, Rachmaninoff and Prokofiev.
East-West United Bank, the concert’s sponsor, said that:
“.proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the charity foundation SOS Villages d’Enfants Monde, that strives to inform the public, raise funds, manage programmes, educate on development matters and lobby for child rights in order to make a lasting impact on vulnerable children worldwide.”
Tickets have already sold out (seating was limited due to covid-19). However, East-West United Bank has two seats for a lucky Delano reader.
