An hours-long standoff in Roseville last April that led to a man exchanging hundreds of rounds of gunfire before being fatally shot by responding authorities has been determined justified by the Ramsey County Attorney’s Office.
Police reports show repeated efforts by family and Roseville police to get the man accused of firing dozens of rounds in a neighborhood near Lake Owasso help over the last four years prior to Tuesday's shootout.
Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension has identified the Roseville police officer who was shot by a suspect Tuesday. Officer Ryan Duxbury, a three-year veteran of the Roseville Police Department, was shot in the face by 53-year-old suspect Jesse Henri Werling. Duxbury is stable and continues to recover at Regions Hospital.
