WOISD parents patrolled the hallways of district schools for the first time Wednesday. The 'Parents On Patrol' program was started for the 2022-23 school year
West Oso ISD trains teachers and students on how to prepare for an active shooter by turning off lights and computers, moving to the corner of a room, and barricading the door.
On Wednesday, 4th and 5th grade students took part in several hands-on activities that taught them about weather, aerodynamics, energy and space travel.
West Oso and Ingleside are two local schools receiving funds granted by Texas Gov. Greg Abbott and the Texas Education Agency, after they experienced a decrease in attendance during and after the COVID-19 pandemic.
