Fresh Encounter makes second donation in two days to benefit West Ohio Food Bank

For the second day in a row, Fresh Encounter Inc. has made a sizeable donation to a Lima non-profit organization. Fresh Encounter Inc., the owners of Chief Market, presented a check for $20,000 to the West Ohio Food Bank. The money is made up of a corporate donation and donations through the public. Chief has been holding a Holiday Food Bag Drive where customers can donate while checking out. Monday, Fresh Encounter Inc. made a donation to Family Promise, donating $2,000 worth of diapers. We have a mission, said Julie Anderson, director of marketing for Fresh Encounter Inc. One of the elements of our mission is to nourish our communities. And we do that in a lot of ways with a healthy safe shopping environment and also by contributions like this, supporting our fellow neighbors.

The concert will be available to watch at the drive-in and via streaming at home. Featured artists include dancers of the Cincinnati Ballet Professional Training Division, with a video crew traveling to Cincinnati to film them dancing for this concert, and a choir number recorded by students at Liberty Arts Magnet.

Shawnee Luminary Night scheduled for Tuesday Shawnee Luminary Night: 6 to 9 p.m., Indianbrook and Wildbrook neighborhoods of Shawnee Township. Free, with donations accepted for West Ohio Food Bank. A luminary can be seen outside a home in Shawnee Township during the 2018 edition of Shawnee Luminary Night. LIMA The fourth annual Shawnee Luminary Night will be 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 15 with nearly 350 homes participating with more than 4,000 paper bags filled with sand and white candles in the Indianbrook and Wildbrook neighborhoods. The event is free to the public, but organizers will collect canned goods, toiletries and monetary donations for the West Ohio Food Bank. For every $1 raised, the food bank can provide six meals to the hungry. Representatives from Basement Doctor will be stationed at both Indianbrook exits to collect donations.
