it s spinning its way, on radar, you can see that spin heading right towards san antonio. that s where you may get some wind gusts, 40, maybe 50 miles per hour. then it s going to head up to, maybe a little to the west of dallas, maybe towards abilene. look at that moisture pouring in off the gulf of mexico. houston, corpus christi right now, you re under a tornado watch until 1:00. that watch may be extended over the entire houston metro area in the next hour or so. but up through dallas and oklahoma city, between now, wednesday night and thursday, that s where all this rain is going to move. and that s why those flash flood watches are posted. so although the wind is going to be taming down over the afternoon, contessa, the rainfall and flash flood threat will continue for the next day or so, points north. that was the eighth storm of the season, contessa, and as we look out through the atlantic, we do see some other areas of concern, but that s the only one that has a name right now
right through here. lubbock and all the way through from about western oklahoma where our producers are we chasing storms all the way back down to west of dallas, and this is the area that this is the areas that are seeing the significant severe weather. let me bring this in. this is the mu warning i just got out here. this is western texas. six to eight inches of rainfall overnight alone. roads around lakes could be impassable many the vicinity there of the white rivers. completely impassable, and i just it s still dark. if you are out in texas, you don t need to be driving hoo around here. if you heard the rain all night long, you know it s happened. it s the flooding. don t drive through the washes there many the west of texas. every else hot in the northeast, heavy rain along the gulf coast. that may help a little bit. you get enough rainfall here, that will at least alleviate the problems. if upped to go to the beach, you wopt go there anyway, and a couple of beaches are close
