Facing the possibility that a winter storm will make travel dangerous in the early hours of Monday, school systems across north and west-central Alabama have opted to delay Monday’s opening.
Morgan County Schools announced Sunday evening via social media channels that a two-hour delay will apply to school openings and bus runs. 12-month employees were told to report “at the normal time as conditions allow.” Separately, the Morgan County system announced that West Morgan Middle School and West Morgan High School will be remote learning only on Monday due to staffing issues.
