Police in Norton. Pic - West Midlands Police POLICE have been out in force in Norton this morning (Wednesday) cracking down on speeding motorists and drink drivers. Officers from Stourbridge Police issued more than 15 tickets to motorists who were driving over the speed limit during the operation in Norton Road. They were also offering advice to drivers about the risks of drink driving, together with firefighters from West Midlands Fire Service. The operation was part of police efforts to ensure the laws of the road are enforced this Christmas and comes as the West Midlands Deputy Police and Crime Commissioner, Waheed Saleem, urged people to avoid having a festive drink on Christmas Day if they will be travelling after visiting family and friends.
