Man suffers hang glider fall in Llansilin

A COMMUNITY has been praised for its response after a hang glider was injured in a fall in a north Powys village on Friday. Members of the community in Llansilin, near Oswestry, rushed to help the injured hang glider who fell and landed in a field behind Maes Y Llan crescent. According to witnesses, two air ambulances responded to the incident, alongside police, paramedics and the Welsh Ambulance Service were in attendance. Chris Richards, who was present during the response, praised the community for their response to help the injured man after his fall. He said: “Lots of people ran to him, not knowing what they would encounter – this man had fallen out of the sky basically.
