Classic Boat Magazine The lightship West Hinder III, which aided mariners on the North Sea from 1950-94 and which has since undergone a private restoration carried out by volunteers, has received an official “certificate of heritage”. It was presented by Flemish Prime Minister Jan Jambon, the Mayor of Antwerp Bart De Wever and the Belgian Minister for Heritage Matthias Diependaele. The ceremony was organised by the Watererfgoed Vlaanderen (WEVL), whose members restore and operate historic ships in Belgium.
