Officers Have Suspects In Custody Following NW OKC Shooting

Oklahoma City police is investigating a shooting on the northwest side of the city. The shooting happened around 4 p.m. Saturday in a residential neighborhood near the intersection of West Hefner Road and North Rockwell Avenue. Police said the victim and three male suspects exchanged gunfire from the victim s home. Only the victim was injured in the exchange. Authorities learned from witnesses nearby that the suspects fled the scene in a dark SUV. Police has since located the vehicle and believes it has every suspect involved in custody. The victim of the shooting was in a private vehicle when authorities located the victim near Northwest 122nd Street and North MacArthur Avenue.

Investigators Search NW OKC Apartment Complex, Neighborhood For Clues After Man Found Shot

By: Jennifer Pierce OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma City police followed clues on Tuesday after a man was found clinging to life at an apartment complex near West Hefner Road and Western Avenue. The shooting victim was found at the back of The Cottages apartments. Investigators also focused their attention on a neighborhood immediately north of the complex. “I didn’t expect to wake up and find cops in the neighborhood,” said Leslie Valenzuela, a neighbor. Investigators were on Valenzuela s street following leads to a shooting not far from her home. “A lot of crazy stuff happening this morning,” said Valenzuela. “All I know is I heard gunshots this morning, but they sounded kind of far away.”

Man Suffering Critical Injuries Following Early Morning Shooting At NW OKC Apartment Complex

By: News 9 OKLAHOMA CITY - Police said one man is in critical condition following an early morning shooting Tuesday in northwest Oklahoma City. According to authorities, around 4:30 a.m. officers were called to an apartment complex near North Western Avenue and West Hefner Road for a welfare check. Police were called to the scene after a person was driving through the apartment complex and found a man with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, police said. There is currently no suspect information. This is a developing story.
